This morning the Newbold Kids learned that there is power in the name of Jesus! We learned how to speak the name of Jesus over our families, our friends, our exams, our health and every challenging situation because ...
‘His name is power - Tu nombre es poder, his name is healing - tu nombre sana, his name is life - es libertad!’

Hablo Jesús- Alisha Quinonez (I Speak Jesus- Here Be Lions and Darlene Zschech COVER in Spanish)
This morning the Newbold Kids ‘cast their cares upon Jesus and lay their burdens down at his feet’. In this coming season of changes - change of school, change of teacher, even change of country for some of us, it was good to reflect on Jesus and bring our cares to him.
Cares Chorus Psalty, No Dialogue
Here’s the song we learned together this morning if you’d like to sing it at home too

A Bonfire night evening of fun, fire and fireworks with the Encounter group last night
During yesterday’s Family Service, we heard a wonderful testimony from Brenda and Paul shared what the ‘Encounter’ group had been learning recently from the Genesis account of creation Thanks everyone!
Our Young People led the service this morning. They were absolutely brilliant, made it totally gospel centred and produced this awesome intro to their theme for the morning...!

What if Jesus had this response when he first asked his disciples?
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
