We can all get lost. The question is, are you the sort of person that will look to sort it out yourself or are you willing to ask for help and get directions?
I suppose we've all got stories of when we've done both and some of them will likely have a stubborn person not willing to admit that they need help and making matters worse.
The reassurance we have from this passage is that the way-finder to a place with God in heaven is with Jesus. We don't have to struggle to find the coordinates on the map, rather Jesus has stated that He is THE way, THE truth and THE life. All we need to do is look to Jesus, and He will lead us in the right way.
We can be encouraged that we do not go expecting disappointment, because a place has been prepared for us. Jesus knows we're coming and He's got things sorted. There will be plenty of room and it will be just right for us.
It's also important to note that Jesus said that He was THE way not A way. The only way we are guaranteed of a place is through Jesus. He has the exclusive VIP tickets to the see our Heavenly Father and allows us to share in that invitation through His sacrifice on the cross.
