Jesus the deity

https://bible.com/bible/111/jhn.20.13-18.NIV

No human can forgive us our sins for by its very nature, sin is an offence against God, not man. Therefore, only God has the power and authority to forgive what we have done wrong in the eyes of God.

Jesus' claims about himself put him on a par with God. This is something the Jewish authorities at the time could neither comprehend nor fathom. They believed that they had rid the land of this problem with the crucifixion. What they could not have accounted for was that Jesus was no ordinary man.

Yes, He was fully man but He was also fully God.

No man can bring themselves back from the dead. Only God has this power. Therefore, on the Sunday morning the woman found the tomb empty - no body, no signs of struggle, just the temporary bandages He was wrapped in on the previous Friday afternoon before sunset.

The divine nature of Jesus became apparent from that moment. Mary's recognition of Jesus as He said her name was an acknowledgement of Jesus' godhood. She knew Jesus and she knew that this was He. This was not some imitation or mimic. This was the real thing. This was Jesus. He had risen. Jesus was/is alive!

How do we respond to Jesus calling our name?

Are we seeking Him and prepared to listen and believe when He says our name?

Are we willing to accept that our divine Jesus, can do anything, for He is God? The same God has been present at the start of creation and will be present when it ends.

The same God who is 'I AM'.
